Finland’s first Maritime Spatial Plan, which extends to the year 2030, provides comprehensive guidelines for the diverse development of marine areas. The plan takes into account offshore wind energy, aquaculture and marine biodiversity protection. The plan, developed in cooperation with various stakeholders, provides a basis for responsible decision-making and supports the growth of new innovations such as the blue bioeconomy.
