Preliminary study on dredging masses
The preliminary study entitled Sustainable alternatives for banking dredging masses has been completed.
The study analysed substantial dredging needs in class I fairway areas and ports for merchant shipping. The most suitable banking sites were identified on the basis of cost-efficiency and the protection of the marine environment.
The preliminary study is part of the current state of maritime spatial planning, which forms the basis for outlining the future needs of marine industries, such as ports and shipping.
